Privacy policy

Beautiva lets you try beauty styles on your own photo with AI, find salons and artists, and book them. This page explains what we collect, why, who else sees it, how long we keep it and how you can see, change or delete it. We do not sell your personal information.
Who we are
Beautiva is run by UDO Technologies LLP, 18, Kempanna Layout, Ramachandrapura, Jalahalli Post, Bangalore, Karnataka 560013, India. Email hello@marketingadda.com, phone +91 81055 68225. We decide how your information is used (the “data fiduciary” or “controller”). Using Beautiva is also covered by our terms of use.
What we collect

We never guess sensitive things like gender, age or ethnicity from your photo. Anything about you that we keep is something you typed or picked yourself.
Face measurements
When you ask for a face analysis, our AI provider measures proportions of the face in your photo (for example the width of the forehead and jaw compared with the cheekbones) to suggest a face shape and styles that suit it. In some places, such as Illinois, Texas and Washington in the United States, these measurements count as biometric information. We ask for your consent on the “Before we use your photo” screen first. The measurements are used only for your style suggestions, never to recognise or identify you. They are sent back to your phone and are not kept on our servers; OpenAI may keep the request for up to 30 days to watch for abuse and then deletes it. We never sell, lease or trade them. You can withdraw consent at any time in Profile → Photo privacy.
Location
We ask for your location only when you tap “Near me” or “Use my location”, and your phone asks your permission first. Your exact location is not saved. If you choose to fill in your city from it, we keep only the city name.
Fingerprint and face unlock
If you turn on “Unlock with fingerprint or face” in the app, your phone checks your fingerprint or face itself. Beautiva never receives or stores fingerprints or face scans.
Who else sees your information
- OpenAI, our AI provider, receives your photos to check them, analyse them and make your previews. It works only on our instructions and only to give you the result you asked for, as our service provider (a “data processor”), not for its own purposes. Under OpenAI’s rules for business customers, photos and results sent through its API are not used to train AI models. We also ask OpenAI not to save our requests for later; it may keep them for up to 30 days only to watch for abuse and then deletes them. We send a photo only after you agree on the “Before we use your photo” screen.
- Salons and artists you book see your booking details (name, phone, service, time and note). Reviews show your first name and last initial.
- Google and Apple, if you choose “Continue with Google” or “Continue with Apple”, tell us your email address (and name the first time).
- Apple App Store, Google Play and RevenueCat handle purchases; Firebase (Google) delivers notifications; our email provider delivers sign-in codes; Google Maps or OpenStreetMap show maps and find places.
- Our hosting provider (Amazon Web Services, Mumbai) stores the data. We share information when the law requires it.
Offers and marketing
We send offers and news about new styles by email, WhatsApp or app notifications only if you tick “Send me offers and new styles”. We record when you agreed. Untick it in Profile → About you and your style at any time, or use the unsubscribe link in any offer. To choose offers that suit you we may use your city, age range, birthday month and what you like in the app. We never sell this information or give it to advertisers.
If you invite a friend with your code, we note that they joined through you so we can give you both the reward.
How long we keep it
- Your account and everything in it: until you delete your account.
- Looks made without an account: deleted after 30 days.
- Face measurements: not kept on our servers (see “Face measurements” above).
- Sign-in codes: a few minutes (removed within a day). Daily-limit records: 24 hours.
Your choices and rights
- See and change your details in Profile → About you and your style.
- Delete any look in My looks, or your whole account in Profile → Delete account. This removes your photos, looks, details, style credits, bookings and reviews.
- Withdraw consent for photos in Profile → Photo privacy, and turn off location or notifications in your phone’s settings.
- Under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act and similar laws you can ask for a copy of your data, a correction or deletion, and you can raise a complaint with us or with the Data Protection Board of India.
- In the United States, including California, you have the same rights to know, correct and delete your information. We do not sell or share it for targeted advertising, and we will not treat you differently for using these rights.
- Where we offer Beautiva: the app is not offered in the European Union, the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom at this time.
Children
Beautiva is not meant for children under 13. If you are under 18, please use it with a parent or guardian’s permission.
Security
Data travels encrypted (HTTPS). Passwords and sign-in codes are stored only in scrambled (hashed) form, and only Beautiva staff who run the service can see account details.
